"You will not fear the terror of the night."--Psalm 91

(from back cover)

WHOM DO YOU TRUST

WHEN YOU CAN'T TELL REALITY FROM FANTASY?

A waking nightmare pursues gradute student Hailey Maniates through Golden Gate Park. When she is rescued by a towering homeless, she seems able to read her savior's mind, to feel his emotions. But is it all a delusion?

Doctors try to prescribe away the alleged hallucinations, but too many questions remain. When Hailey tracks down her rescuer, he appears to suffer from her same mental condition-and he is convinced that an ancient terror is trying to kill them both.

Against reason, Hailey finds herself more and more drawn to this strange giant of a man. But what if he is only a fantasy? What if he is the monster?
